Day 1 Arrival Kunming

Transfer service to hotel

Arrive in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for a good rest.

Day 2 Kunming

Green Lake, Flowers and Birds Market, Stone Forest

Meals: Breakfast & Lunch

[09:00-09:30] Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and visit the Spring City

[09:30-11:30] Enjoy morning leisure tour to Green Lake which is peaceful and a public park for local people. You will see musicians singing and playing and you can also take a paddle boat out and relax on the lake. After that, go directly to Flower and Bird Market, which is the biggest and most exciting market in Kunming where antiques, jewelry, and other handmade crafts can be found. This is a perfect place for entertainment and observing local lifestyle.

[11:30-14:00] Lunch will be arranged as local special food, Yunnan Rice Noodles. And drive to Stone Forest about 2 hours.

[14:00-16:00] Visit to the the Stone Forest which is known as the First Wonder of the World and typical karst landform. The magnificent, strange and steep landscape of the Stone Forest creates countless labyrinthine vistas, all of which feature stones in various formations. Animals, plants, and even human figures can be found here.

[16:00-18:00] Drive back to Kunming city. For evening activity, we highly recommend the Yunnan Impression Show - Dynamic Yunnan as an option.

Day 3 Kunming

Western Hill, Dragon Gate, Village of Ethnic Culture, Free at leisure

[09:00-09:30] Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and visit the Spring City

[09:30-11:30] Drive to the west part of Kunming and take a visit of Western Hill, Dragon Gate .

[12:00-13:00] Lunch will be arranged at local restaurant, you have chance to enjoy the local delicious speciality.

[14:00-16:00] Visit the Village of Ethnic Culture which is  a window to show the cultures and customs of various ethnic groups of Yunnan.

[16:00-17:30] Drive back to hotel and free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 4 Kunming - Lijiang

Take bullet train to Lijiang, Lijiang Ancient Town

In the morning, you will be transferred to the airport for a 3.5-hour bullet train to Lijiang .Upon arrival, be met at the train station and transferred to your hotel for check-in, enjoy your own free time for the rest of the day. You have enough time to visit this peaceful Lijiang Ancient Town with long history and profound Naxi culture.

Day 5 Lijiang

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Yufeng Temple, Baisha Mural, Black Dragon Pond Park

[09:00-09:30] Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby and start today’s tour.

[09:30-12:30] Drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and take cable car up to the Mountain. We will arrange the visit to Glacier Park at 4506 meters above sea level and get real close to the Snow Mountain. You can choose to hike on the mountain and get to the top at 4680 meters or just stroll around at Glacier Park and appreciate the holy Mountain peacefully.

[12:30-13:30] Lunch time at local restaurant in Baisha village nearby the Snow Mountain.

[13:30-16:30] In the afternoon, visit Yufeng Temple. The whole temple shows a distinctive and conjunct architecture style of Han Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Taoism and the local Naxi Dongba Religion. The temple also has three courtyards and the famous great Camellia tree here had been more than 500 years old. Afterwards, pay a visit to Baisha Mural, which is the cradle of the Naxi culture and ancient capital of the Naxi Kingdom. Go back to Lijiang, on the way, have a short visit to Black Dragon Pond Park where is the perfect place to take photo of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain with reflection in the Pond.

[16:30-17:30] Drive back to the hotel and enjoy your free time in Lijiang old town or go to Suhe old town on your own for the evening bonfire party.

Day 6 Lijiang - Tiger Leaping Gorge

Drive to Tiger Leaping Gorge, Hiking from Qiaotou to Halfway Guest House

Meals: Breakfast

Hiking Duration: 6-7hours

After breakfast, be driven 100km to Qiaotou Town (Tiger Leaping Gorge Town), you will then start your trekking from Qaiotou Primary School to Half-way Guesthouse via Changsheng Village, Zhong Nuoyu Village and 28 Zigzag Bends Trail. Stay overnight in the Halfway Guest House on a mountain.

Day 7 Tiger Leaping Gorge

Hiking from Halfway Guest House to Haba Jokul Y.H.

Meals: Breakfast
Recommended Hotel: Haba Jokul International Youth Hostel
Hiking Duration: 6 -7 hours

Get up early in the morning then hiking to Tina's Guesthouse and have lunch there. Continue to down to trekking to the Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge. In the afternoon, back to Tina's House. And then, be transferred to Haba Jokul International Youth Hostel to stary overnight.

Day 8 Haba Hokul Y.H. - Shangri-La

Drive to Shangri-La, Baishui Terrace, Potatso National Park

Today after breakfast, starts from Haba Jokul Y.H.. A stop to Baishui Terrace for catching the amazing scenery in Yunnan. Then visit Potatso National Park by hiking along the plank (green vans available in scenic area). After arrival Shangri-la, catch up with some good rest after check-in your hotel in Shangri-la.

Day 9 Shangri-La - Kunming

Songzanlin Lamasery, Fly to Kunming

Meals: Breakfast & Lunch

Get up early, you will drive to Songzanlin Lamasery and take a visit, which is the largest lamasery in existence. After that, be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Kunming.

Day 10 Departure Kunming

Transfer service to airport

Free at leisure until be transferred to the airport for the return flight or the flight to the next stop.

Note: Not recommended to have Tiger Leaping Gorge between May and August:
Reason 1. Rainy season falls into this period. And the thunderstorm may have threats for the life.
