• Kui Gate: Known as the "Gateway to Qutang Gorge," Kui Gate is an extremely narrow and steep section. The two mountains on both sides, Chijia Mountain and Baiyan Mountain, stand like giant gates. • By Cruise: The most common and enjoyable way to experience Qutang Gorge is by taking a Yangtze River cruise. Many cruises departing from Chongqing or Yichang will pass through Qutang Gorge. • By Land: You can first reach Fengjie County by bus or train. Then, take a local bus or taxi to the entrance of the Qutang Gorge scenic area. However, this option may not provide as comprehensive a view as a cruise.

Best Time to Visit

• Spring (March - May) and autumn (September - November) are the ideal seasons. During these times, the weather is pleasant, and the gorge is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. The spring brings fresh greenery, while the autumn offers colorful foliage.
