Attractions

  • Sanqing Hall: One of the main halls in Qingyang Palace. It was built during the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the 8th year of Tongzhi's reign during the Qing Dynasty. The building has an area of over 1,600 square kilometers. The walls, windows, and pillars are colorfully and exquisitely decorated with carvings such as flowers and two lions playing with silk balls. Inside the hall, there are two bronze goats. The one on the left is said to be transformed by the servant of the Green Emperor and can cure all diseases. Tourists like to touch the part of the goat's body that corresponds to their own pain area, hoping to reduce the pain.
  • Eight Trigrams Pavilion: It is an octagonal building built on a square pedestal with a colored glazed dome. It was erected without using a nail or wedge. The structure is very stable and has withstood the erosion of wind and rain for hundreds of years. The square pedestal and round pavilion body follow the Taoist philosophy of "the sky is round and the earth is square". In the middle of the pavilion is a vividly carved sculpture of Laozi riding on a black goat.
  • Hunyuan Hall: Tall and majestic, it is one of the significant buildings in Qingyang Palace.
  • Gongde Hall: It is dedicated to the worship of Confucius and is decorated with ancient Chinese characters, testifying to the importance of Confucianism in Chinese culture2.

Visitors can experience the profound Taoist culture here. You can observe Taoist rituals, appreciate the ancient Taoist scriptures and cultural relics, and feel the peaceful and solemn atmosphere of the Taoist temple.
