General Introduction
Du Fu Thatched Cottage, also known as Huanhua Thatched Cottage, Gongbu Thatched Cottage, or Shaoling Thatched Cottage, is located by the Huanhua Brook in the western suburbs of Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It was the former residence of Du Fu, a renowned poet in the Tang Dynasty. Later, it was rebuilt by descendants and has become a place to commemorate Du Fu. Nowadays, it is the Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum5.
